We believe photography can inspire positive change.
Pool Party Cape Town is a monthly social gathering at one of the many unique tidal pools in and around the Mother City, where friends and strangers alike, meet to float and create awareness to inspire positive change. Cape Town itself boasts 21 unique public tidal pools, offering some of the best (and coolest!) swimming spots in the world. These pools provide the perfect balance: the invigorating chill of the Atlantic Ocean with the safety of enclosed walls for protection against the crashing waves. Our aim is to celebrate these majestic tidal pools in a fun and safe way, and to reconnect people with nature.

We recognise the privilege of swimming and believe it should be accessible to all. Swimming offers a unique opportunity to disconnect and be present in the water. After each Pool Party, we release a print, with profits going to a fund that teaches children the joy of swimming.
While purchasing a print supports this cause, it's not required to join the fun! Come along to connect with others, enjoy nature, and discover a new tidal pool and its marine life each month.

The Float:
We believe in short and sweet floats (15-25 minutes, weather permitting).
Please be respectful of other swimmers, dippers and divers, and stick to one side of the pool during gatherings.
Above all, leave no trace – please do not litter.

Safety is our top priority and each Pool Party gathering starts with a safety briefing.
Cape Town's weather can be unpredictable, so we closely monitor conditions and will cancel gatherings if and when necessary, on short notice.
We recommend using a buddy system and remind all attendees (including parents and pet owners) that they are responsible for their own safety.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times, especially on floaties.
